I'm BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!

I, um, that is to say...
Well, short version...Not Dead.
Perhaps I should have jumped out of a cake!
Okay, enough of that -- down to the what & why of my substantial hiatus.
It all started with my gradual decline of dA activity late last year.
Around mid-November, whilst in the midst of the 11th installment of the Doctor portrait series, I suffered a burnout of my own making. Starting with the 1st Doctor portrait back in January, I strove to complete each drawing quicker than the previous one. Eventually, I hit a wall; my response was unfortunately one of inaction rather than a slower pace.
Over the winter months, I found myself in a state of despair. Catalysts for this included the amount of schoolwork I had left, my impending graduation, and the looming self-set deadline of getting a job before finishing school. All this compelled me to only drift further away from deviantArt, and in a way, my creativity.
In late February, I finally secured my much strived-for job at a local fast food chain (oh boy, such accomplishment!
). Initially, it was a practically overwhelming source of stress -- during my first month there, I was physically losing my appetite due to it.Over time (and after a couple of emotional breakdowns at work
), I've learned to manage my anxiety as best I can. So far, I've gone four entire weeks without any major 'incidents,' but am now looking for a different job.My current mindset has me focusing on "what's next," rather than "how will I ever get out of this?" like it was a couple of months ago.
All of this mess has -- in a roundabout way -- inspired me to 'reboot' my online activity on dA and etsy.
So, in summary, my life has moved foward in many ways.
During this process, I drifted from the things that anchored me: both the comfort of routine and the excitement of new prospects brought by a creative outlet. Now, slowly, I'm coming back. I'm dropping my familiar anchor into new waters.

This past month, I've become much more involved with (and thus, aware of) online craft sales, and I now know lots of dA members also have Etsy accounts.
Of these people, there are a particular few that have caught my attention, and I'd like to help their businesses out.
As I am currently low on funds (read: broke
), the best way for me to support their trades is with a feature of their work. If you're on the lookout for holiday gift ideas, I highly suggest checking out the various pieces of jewelry, clothing, and other wares listed below.

Hey everyone, I've decided to take part in a feature tag/idea that isn't part of my normal monthly series.

I'm Selling On Etsy!

Hey all,
I'm excited to announce that I am now selling knit wear on Etsy!
This has been in the making for some time, but following a recent (and more serious) discussion regarding knit sales, I decided to take the plunge wholeheartedly.
At the moment, I only have Doctor Who scarves for sale, but if business is good, I may add other items.
I'll only be able to make 4 scarves in time for Christmas, so hurry and order before they're gone!
